Daily Candy recently featured Vancouver designer Elroy.  I fell in love with all of her designs especially when I learned many of her fabrics are soy and bamboo.  If you haven’t worn something bamboo, it’s like pulling on butter!  New Elroy dresses are available at the Seattle based online boutique Petaline.  Petaline, Alison Brownrigg’s online boutique, features innovative Pacific NW designers who really care about where they get their materials and where their garments are manufactured.  Here are some of the fabulous things I’ve put on my Christmas list.

Sometimes when I see eco-friendly clothing I’m left feeling disappointed.  Either the fabric looks too “earthy” or the construction just isn’t modern.  Nothing excited me more than finding fashion forward looks that are also sustainable.  That couldn’t be more true with wedding dresses, especially because you only wear them once.  I was gleeful when I saw the designs of Jessica Iverson.  I had such a hard time deciding which dresses I wanted to showcase for the blog they are all so fabulous.

Just goes to show you don’t have to sacrifice style to have eco-chic fashion!

Michelle with Married and More told me about this wonderful event happening October 23, 2008.  Several of the industry’s coolest vendors have donated items or services that can be purchased through a silent auction.  The best part — the proceeds will go to help support Breast Cancer.  What better timing since it’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month!  I wasn’t able to donate my services due to the timing of little Lucca arriving, but it’s still a great event to support and I will be sure to attend!  Check out their super swanky website designed by local photographer Laurel McConnell herself!

I love fall!  I look forward to it every year and in Seattle you have to cherish every crisp day.  This wedding embodies everything that is perfect about fall.

I’m so happy to introduce our new little boy.  Lucca Ryder Perera was born at 8:56 am on Sept. 15th weighing in at 8 lbs 12 oz.  Despite the sleep deprivation it’s been such an amazing blessing and we are so madly in love.

I’m slowly getting back in the groove of things so stay tuned for some new inspiration.
